Xiaomi has officially announced the Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport, set to launch during the annual conference hosted by Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, on July 19 at 7 pm local time (4:30 pm IST) in China. The company touts the Watch S4 Sport as its “first professional sports smartwatch,” featuring a rotating crown and sapphire glass. This launch will be part of a broader showcase of new products across various categories.
Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport Specifications (Expected)
Xiaomi revealed details about its upcoming smartwatch through a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport is expected to feature a titanium chassis with sapphire glass on both the front and back. It will also have a rotating crown situated on the right side.
A teaser from Xiaomi suggests the smartwatch will have a circular dial and an additional button below the rotating crown. Users can expect two band options: silicone and metal.
Although official specifications have not been released, a listing on the Chinese TAF certification website indicates that the Watch S4 Sport will feature an OLED display. It is rumored to come with a 586mAh battery supporting 10W charging, and a heart-rate monitoring sensor. Additionally, the smartwatch is speculated to support e-SIM capabilities, allowing users to make phone calls and respond to text messages without needing a smartphone.
Other anticipated features include GPS and NFC capabilities.
Other Launches
In addition to the smartwatch, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of several other products during the annual conference in China. These include the Mix Fold 4, Mix Flip, Redmi K70 Ultra, Buds 5, and Smart Band 9.
Both the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip are reported to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and will run on an Android 14-based HyperOS skin. The Mix Fold 4 is expected to feature a Leica Summilux quad-camera setup, which includes two telephoto dual macro cameras with a 5X periscope lens.
