Vivo V17, the upcoming smartphone from the Chinese brand has a confirmed launch date now. The company recently unveiled the Vivo V17 in Russia and the reports revealed that the the same phone is set to launch in India soon. Now, the company has gone ahead and confirmed the launch of its latest mid-range smartphone – Vivo V17- on its official Twitter handle.
The company shared a tweet which reads “Can You Hear The Buzz! The #ClearAsReal 32MP Front Camera On #VivoV17 Is Here To Create Some Flutter. Launching On 9th December,12PM.” Another Tweet Says “Stay LIT Even At Night With The Super Night Mode On #VivoV17. Launching On 9th December,12PM. #ClearAsReal.”
Notably, Vivo V17 will feature a punch-hole display instead of a waterdrop notch display as seen on the same model launched in Russia few days ago.

On the specifications front, the smartphone offers a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED full HD+ display with 2340×1080 pixel resolution. Vivo V17 is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The storage of the phone is further expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card.
For camera duties, it comes with a diamond-shaped quad rear camera setup with 48-megapixel as a primary lens, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies, it features a 32-megapixel camera.
It runs Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS 9. The phone measures 159.25 x 75.19 x 8.68mm and weighs 186.7 grams. Connectivity options are Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band WiFi, and dual-SIM support.
