The potential unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra may not be merely speculative after all. Amidst prolonged speculations surrounding the launch of a third foldable smartphone at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, a recent report suggests that the Ultra foldable is indeed on the horizon. However, there’s a catch. Allegedly, the Ultra variant will see its debut exclusively in South Korea, with no plans for a global release. Nevertheless, the tech giant is rumored to introduce two new smartwatches — the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch FE.
According to a report by Android Authority, details regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra emerged from the smartphone’s model number listed in their database. The model number SM-F958N aligns with the Ultra variant, as Samsung typically employs the number “eight” in model numbers exclusively for Ultra devices. Drawing comparisons, the report highlighted the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s model number SM-S928x, contrasting with the SM-S921x of the Galaxy S24. This consistent pattern further supports the assertion.
Furthermore, the report notes the discovery of only one model number for the smartphone, indicating its limited availability. The inclusion of the alphabet “N” in the model number signifies the South Korean market, leading to speculations that the Fold 6 Ultra might remain exclusive to this region.
In another revelation, Android Authority hinted at the imminent launch of the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch FE. These forthcoming smartwatches are anticipated to succeed the existing Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic models. Forming part of the Watch 7 series, these new iterations are anticipated to introduce the FE and Ultra variants while discontinuing the Classic variant. Model numbers SM-L705U, SM-L705N, and SM-L705F were cited for the Watch Ultra, indicating availability in South Korea, the US, and globally. Similarly, the Watch FE variant is expected to be represented by model numbers SM-R866F, SM-R866U, and SM-R866N, suggesting a similar global availability.
