Another budget-friendly phone from Realme, dubbed as the Realme 5i is confirmed to launch on January 9 in India. After a series of leaks, Realme has officially confirmed the launch date of another Realme 5-series smartphone in India. The company is launching the Realme 5i in Vietnam today (5th January).
The launch event will take place in India on January 9th at 12:30 PM and the fans can live stream the event on Realme’s official Facebook and YouTube handle.
The Realme 5i’s launch date wasn’t the only takeaway on the smartphone’s teaser. The teaser also revealed the phone will pack the quad-camera setup on the rear side vertically. There are no major design changes compared to the Realme 5 and Realme 5s. The smartphone has a similar design as you can see it from the back.
Earlier leaks and listing already revealed the specifications of the upcoming Realme 5i smartphone. The specs and features of the phone are very similar to the Realme 5, except the front camera. The Realme 5i will feature a 13MP selfie camera while Realme 5 came with a 13MP shooter upfront.
As per the previous reports, the forthcoming Realme 5i will flaunt a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS display. The quad-camera setup on the rear will include a 12-megapixel, 8-megapixel, 2-megapixel, and 2-megapixel sensors. For selfies, it will feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Powering the device will be a Snapdragon 665 chipset and paired with 3GB RAM/4GB RAM and 32GB/64 GB. The handset will pack a 5,000mAh battery with a 10W charger.
As for its price, it was earlier revealed that the Realme 5i might launch in India for a starting price of Rs. 8,000.
