Motorola is potentially gearing up to launch the Razr 50 Ultra later this year, poised to be the next iteration in its lineup of foldable smartphones, following the Razr 40 Ultra. The Razr 40 Ultra, introduced in 2023, featured a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a pair of cameras on the rear, and a battery capacity of 3,800mAh. While details on the new Motorola foldable are scarce, it appears to have surfaced on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) certification website, hinting at a possible release in the near future.
A Motorola device bearing the model number XT2453-1 was noted on the EEC website by 91Mobiles, closely matching the model number associated with the previous year’s Motorola Edge 40 Ultra. This sighting was confirmed by Gadgets 360.
Although the listing did not explicitly mention the smartphone’s name, recent speculations have linked a device with the model number XT-2453-3, codenamed ‘Motorola Glory,’ to the upcoming release. This device is expected to be marketed as the Razr+ in the United States, likely referring to the Motorola Razr+ 2024 edition. An early render leak suggests a clamshell design for this model.
In its global debut last year, which included India, the Razr 40 Ultra was launched alongside the standard Razr 40 variant. It boasts a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and a 6.9-inch full-HD+ pOLED primary display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it features a 3.6-inch pOLED outer screen offering a 144Hz refresh rate.
The camera setup on the Razr 40 Ultra includes a 12-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, along with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. With 256GB of onboard storage and a 3,800mAh battery supporting 30W fast charging and 8W wireless charging, it was well-equipped.
