Reliance Jio has now finally revealed that it has now decided to start charging the cost of six paise a minute to subscribers who are making calls to some other mobile networks. The Mumbai based operator has also claimed that the new voice charge would now going to be at a prevailing interconnect usage charge rate that has been fixed by Telecom Regularity Authority of India for the telcos, which enable inter-networking outgoing calls, which are also known by the name as off-net voice calls. The new change is specifically designed for the voice calls, which is being made to some other operators, while all the Jio-to-Jio calls, Jio-to-landline calls, incoming calls, which will remain to be available at no additional charge.
Reliance Jio voice call charges
To charge off-net voice calls, Reliance Jio revealed four IUC top-up vouchers, which has been valued between INR 10 and INR 100. The operator revealed that it would provide additional data entitlement of equivalent value based on the IUC top-up voucher consumption to make sure an increase in tariff for customers. Moreover, postpaid Jio customers will also be billed at Six paise per minute for off-net outgoing calls with an increase in free data entitlement to the extent provided in the vouchers.
