The Infinix Hot 40i made its debut in November 2023 in Saudi Arabia before gradually rolling out to select global markets. However, its launch in India is still pending official confirmation by the company. Recent leaks, however, suggest that the model may soon be available in the Indian market. Earlier, some details regarding its launch and a few features specific to the Indian variant were hinted at. Now, a tipster has shared live images of the model and disclosed key camera and display specifications.
According to tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the Infinix Hot 40i is anticipated to arrive in India boasting a segment-first 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 90Hz display with a centrally positioned hole-punch cutout to house the front camera sensor. Additionally, the handset is rumored to feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup accompanied by a Quad-LED ring flash unit.
Moreover, it’s suggested that the Indian version of the Infinix Hot 40i will likely debut in four color variants, mirroring its global counterpart. Palm Blue has been confirmed as one of the color options. Notably, the handset’s back panel is speculated to showcase a vibrant glow design, potentially producing a color-shifting effect when exposed to natural light.
Previously, leaks hinted at the Infinix Hot 40i launching in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB configurations, with the latter touted as the most affordable 256GB smartphone in India. The phone is expected to hit the Indian market in the first half of February, with Flipkart being a likely retail partner.
Internationally, the Infinix Hot 40i is available in Horizon Gold, Palm Blue, Starlit Black, and Starfall Green color choices. Pricing for the global variant starts at SAR 375 (approximately Rs. 8,300) for the 4GB+128GB variant and SAR 465 (roughly Rs. 10,300) for the 8GB+256GB variant.
As for specifications, the Infinix Hot 40i Indian variant is likely to mirror its global counterpart, featuring a 6.56-inch HD+ (720×1,612) display, a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 18W wired charging. It may also come pre-installed with Android 13-based UI.
