Cybercriminals have several passwords cracking tactics but the easiest way is to buy a password from the dark web. There’s a whole black market running of buying and selling login credentials. Thus, it is advisable to keep changing your passwords from time to time.
Next is the Brute Force Attack, this attack guesses every possible combination until it reaches yours. With the speed of 350 billion guesses per second, this attack is quite dangerous.
Just like Brute Force Attack, a Dictionary Attack is also used to crack passwords. This attack tries a prearranged list of words like you would find in a dictionary. Indeed, if your password is normal word then its likely to be cracked.
Last one in the flow is Phishing, in which cybercriminals literally try to intimidate, trick or pressurise you through social engineering. Phishing scams can try to ensure you via phone calls and false emails.
