Now, speculation abounds about its impending launch in India. While official confirmation is pending, expectations are high that the Indian variant will mirror the specifications of its Chinese counterpart.
Reportedly, the base Vivo X Fold 3 model is set to hit the Indian market soon, touted as the “slimmest foldable in the industry” by a 91Mobiles report. With a thickness of only 10.2mm when folded, it promises a sleek and modern design. This is a notable improvement compared to its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold 2, which measured 12.9mm in thickness.
In China, the Vivo X Fold 3 dazzles with an 8.03-inch 2K E7 AMOLED main display and a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen featuring Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) protection. Under the hood, it boasts an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 inbuilt storage, running on Android 14-based OriginOS 4.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate its triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel VCS bionic primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel portrait shooter. Pricing in China starts at CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 80,000) for the base 12GB + 256GB variant, escalating to CNY 8,999 (around Rs. 1,00,700) for the top-tier 16GB + 1TB version. Available in Feather White and Thin Wing Black colour options, the Vivo X Fold 3 promises to redefine the foldable smartphone experience.
