Design
The body of the Honor 8C is all the plastic, and the build quality is satisfactory, but this smartphone does not feel as premium as its glass and metal-backed rivals. The phone is also a bit too tall to be used comfortably in one hand. The notched display is not exactly borderless, and the chin is pretty significant. There is also an option in the settings menu to mask the notch, which basically darkens the screen area on either side of it.
Display
The Honor 8C sports an IPS LCD display of 6.26 inch having a High Definition resolution, which is enhanced by the Pixel Density of 269 PPI. It features a 19:9 which can offer a great edge to edge viewing experience.
Software
The Honor 8C runs on the Honor EMUI 8.2 custom skin atop Android 8.1 Oreo. EMUI is feature-packed but feels cluttered and has plenty of bloatware. There is an odd mix of Google own apps and Honor as default.
Performance
As the Huawei Honor 8C is supported and powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 632 chipset and 4GB of RAM, users can expect a seamless and smooth performance. The smartphone can also handle lag-free gaming and aid multitasking.
Battery Life
There is a Li-Po battery having a capacity of around 4000mAh, which can offer enough backup to keep the smartphone running all through the day with the help of a single charging.
Camera
For the optics department, the smartphone hosts a dual 13MP+2MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The rear imaging sensors can also shoot the images and videos in the dark as there is an LED flash to support the cause while the front imaging unit can be used for the video calling and taking selfies.
